BIGG MARKET BASH

NE1 invites you to come along and help celebrate the launch of the newly completed Bigg Market public realm with our Bigg Market Bash on Saturday 13th April!

As part of our redevelopment of Newcastle’s historic Bigg Market, we will be operating a free family friendly launch event that you won’t want to miss.

You can expect a day jam-packed with things to keep the whole family entertained.

Between 11am and 4pm, the Bigg Market Bash will feature a Metro Radiostage set to provide entertainment throughout the day, including performances from Rock Choir, Pons Aelius, and any more!

Not only that, but the Bigg Market will also host local food and produce stalls from all over Newcastle who will be on hand to serve you delicious treats and goodies at your leisure.

With stalls from La Petite CrêperieCurryRolls (3 times winners of the Argie Bhaji Food Battle at Wylam Brewery!), Kafeneon, Matthew’s Cheese, Nan Bei Dumpling & Tea Bar and Laneway & Co with Proven Goods Codoughnuts, and more, make sure you’re hungry!

We will of course have the space bursting with our colourful NE1 seating, picnic benches and bean bags to give you plenty of opportunity to chill out and enjoy a slice of spring time
in the city whilst you enjoy the performances, savour street food, or just soak up the vibe!

Plus, there’ll be plenty to keep your little ones occupied, with free kids activities provided by Play in Newcastle too! Free face painters and arts and crafts happenings will be sure to put a smile on their faces.

Finally, there’ll be opportunities to understand a bit more about the history of the city we know and love with historical tours from Iles Tours, alongside some of Newcastle Castle‘s members of the Newcastle garrison!

Lots to see and lots to do, so join us this Easter holiday in the Bigg Market!
